Is God’s Kingdom on Earth or in Heaven?

Question:  It's impossible for us to say whether God's kingdom is on earth or in heaven. The  Lord Jesus  said several times, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand” and “Your kingdom come.” Since He clearly says, “the kingdom of heaven,” how can it be on earth?

Answer : We should keep in mind that “heaven” always refers to God. The kingdom of heaven means God's kingdom. Revelation says, “ the tabernacle of God is with me n. ” “ The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ. ” It shows us that God's kingdom is on earth. The kingdoms of this world will become those of God. After the disasters, the old world will be destroyed and the Millennial Kingdom will appear. And this world shall become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ. And then God's will shall be done on earth just as it is in heaven. This fulfills the prophecy that new Jerusalem will come down to earth then.

Will the Lord Jesus take believers up into the kingdom of heaven when He comes again?

One may ask: The Bible says, “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17). How should this verse be interpreted? How will the verse concerning believers being raptured in the last days be fulfilled?

For every Christian who is waiting devoutly for the return of the Lord, the topic of the believers’ rapture when the Lord returns in the last days is always attractive. None of believers are not expecting to be raptured into the kingdom of heaven when the Lord comes back. However, what on earth is the true meaning of rapture? Does it really mean that the believers are lifted into the air by the Lord in the last days? To understand this aspect of the truth, let’s first read several verses. Acts 8:39-40 says, “And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.” According to man’s thought, since here it is said that Philip was caught away by the Spirit of the Lord, he was taken to heaven. Yet, in fact, “Philip was found at Azotus” and he preached the gospel in all cities, carrying out the Lord’s will on earth. From this we can see that Philip was not taken into heaven but was still on the earth.

Q&A About God’s Work of Judgment in the Last Days-Question 1

Question 1: You say that God becomes flesh in the last days to do the work of judgment. Does this have basis inthe Bible, or fulfill biblical prophecies? Without a biblical basis, we shouldn’t be so quick to believe it.

Answer: Any major incidents of God’s work are prophesied in the Bible, and there are quite a few relating to the second coming of the Lord Jesus and God’s work of judgment. But we should understand that prophecies only tell people what will happen. They are reminders for people to be alert and to seek and investigate in the last days, so they won’t be abandoned or eliminated by God. That’s all the prophecies can do. The prophecies themselves can’t help us to know God’s work, nor understand the truth, or help people obey God, or increase people’s love for God. So, our best course is to directly investigate the words expressed by Almighty God and the work done by Him, from which we can be sure whether they are truly God’s voice and expression. That is the most important course of action. This is much more realistic and useful than searching for a basis in biblical prophecies. We all know that when the Lord Jesus came to do work, the disciples and believers who followed Him only recognized Him gradually, that the Lord was Christ, the Messiah prophesied through His work and words. The priests, scribes, and Pharisees who knew religious laws and studied the Bible knew that the Lord Jesus’ word is the truth and has authority and power. But because they hated the truth, they not only refused to follow the Lord Jesus, but also used the letters and regulations in the Bible to oppose and condemn the Lord Jesus, and finally nailed Him to the cross. This shows us the Bible can’t lead or guide us to accept the return of the Lord. For those who wait for the Lord’s return, the Bible only serves as corroboration. The clever virgin doesn’t welcome her groom using the Bible. When she hears her groom’s voice, she ascertains it is God’s voice and goes to meet her Lord. Those who rely on biblical prophecy rather than seeking God’s voice, and who reject and condemn Almighty God’s work in the last days—they are the most foolish virgins, those whom God will abandon and eliminate.

Let’s read a passage of Almighty God’s words, “Can you be such that you accept without question all the work of the Holy Spirit? If it is the work of the Holy Spirit, then it is the right ‘stream.’ You should accept it without the slightest misgivings, rather than picking and choosing what to accept. If you gain some knowledge from God and exercise some caution against Him, is this not an act truly uncalled for? What you ought to do is acceptance of, without the need for further substantiation from the Bible, any work so long as it is that of the Holy Spirit, for you believe in God to follow God, not to investigate Him. You should not search out further proof for Me to show that I am your God. Rather, you ought to discern whether I am of benefit to you; that is the key. Even if you have found out much irrefutable proof within the Bible, it cannot bring you fully before Me. You are one who lives within the confines of the Bible, and not before Me; the Bible cannot help you know Me, nor can it deepen your love for Me” (“How Can Man Who Has Defined God in His Conceptions Receive the Revelations of God?” in The Word Appears in the Flesh). To discern whether Almighty God is the returned Lord Jesus, we cannot rely solely on the evidence in the Bible. Most important is whether the words expressed by Almighty God are the truth, whether what Almighty God expresses is God’s disposition and what He has and is, whether Almighty God’s words are the truth, the way, and the life necessary to man, whether they relieve people’s confusion about belief in God, whether they save people from their corrupt satanic dispositions and satanic natures, and whether they can save people from Satan’s influence, allowing people to achieve purity and enter the kingdom of heaven. That’s the most important factor.

Are the Truths in the Bible Already Complete?

Question 2: The truths in the  Bible are already complete. In believing in God, we have the Bible, and that's enough. We don't need the new word at all. 

 Answer: What the Bible records is limited. The Old Testament only records the work of Jehovah God, and the New Testament only records the work of the  LordJesus . The Bible only prophesies  God's work  in  the last days , but doesn't record the details , because in the last days God does the work of judgment, which is a new work outside the Bible. God is the expresser of the truth, and even more is the Ruler of all things. His richness is unfailing and inexhaustible, and He is unfathomable to any created being. So, the contents of the Bible alone can't make clear all God's deeds at all.  AlmightyGod tells us, “All that is recorded within the Bible is limited and unable to represent all the work of God.

What Is the True Meaning of Doing the Will of the Heavenly Father?

Question: We can set aside all things to spread the gospel and shepherd the church. Such toil and labor is doing the will of our heavenly Father. Is there any wrong in the way we carry this out?

Answer: We can spread the Lord’s gospel and toil and labor, but this does not mean we’re doing the will of our heavenly Father. Truly doing the heavenly Father’s will is following His words and commandments, and doing our duty according to His requirements. Just like what the Lord Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like to it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). Doing the heavenly Father’s will means following and practicing what the Lord Jesus currently says. This is the most basic principle. If we do not focus on obeying the Lord Jesus’ words, but on obeying man’s words in the Bible, that is not doing the heavenly Father’s will. Doing the will of God is following the word of God. If people always exalt the apostles’ word in the Bible and not the word of the Lord Jesus, then they are not doing God’s will but are opposing God. People who do the will of God will submit to and practice whatever He says or does. They can accept God’s commission and testify Him, and no longer rebel against or resist Him. Such people are the holy ones. Take Abraham for example. He was able to listen to God, sincerely willing to give his only beloved son back to God. Because of his absolute obedience, God blessed his descendants to be a great nation. Another example, Job feared God and kept away from evil. There’s also Peter. He followed the Lord Jesus all his life, thirsting and seeking after the truth. After he received the Lord’s commission, he abided by the Lord’s will and requirements to shepherd the church, finally submitting even to death, and loving God to the utmost…. They were all people who feared and obeyed God. Such people are those who truly do the will of the heavenly Father. If toil and labor is all there is to doing the heavenly Father’s will, then why did the Pharisees travel over land and sea spreading the gospel, toiling and laboring only to receive the condemnation and curse of the Lord Jesus? That’s because they believed in God but were not walking in His way. When the Lord Jesus came for His new work, not only did they not embrace Him, but they instigated the common believers to wildly condemn and oppose Him, even setting up false witnesses to frame Him. All that they did was to depart from the Lord’s way and make an enemy with the Lord. Even if they outwardly suffered a lot or did much work, how can they be said to be doing the will of the heavenly Father?
