Q&A About God’s Work of Judgment in the Last Days-Question 2

Question 2: The Lord Jesus was crucified as a sin offering to redeem man. We have accepted the Lord and obtained salvation. Why do we still have to accept the work of judgment and purification?
AnswerIn the Age of Grace, the Lord Jesus did the work of redemption instead of God’s work of judgment in the last days to fully save all of man. What the work of redemption achieved was a sacrifice to atone for the sins of man through the Lord Jesus’ work. He saved us from the clutches of Satan, made us repent our sins and accept God’s salvation. He qualified us to go before God and enjoy God’s grace and blessing. That was the real significance of the work of redemption. But many people don’t understand. They always think that the Lord Jesus’ work of redemption granted complete salvation to all mankind and so they can enter the kingdom of heaven. That notion comes from man’s imagination.

Q&A About the Name of God

Question 2: God’s name in each age doesn’t represent God in His entirety, then what does God’s name in each age mean?
Answer: This question is very important. Today Almighty God has given us the answer to this question. Almighty God says, “‘Jehovah’ is the name that I took during My work in Israel, and it means the God of the Israelites (God’s chosen people) who can take pity on man, curse man, and guide the life of man. It means the God who possesses great power and is full of wisdom. ‘Jesus’ is Emmanuel, and it means the sin offering that is full of love, full of compassion, and redeems man. He did the work of the Age of Grace, and represents the Age of Grace, and can only represent one part of the management plan. That is to say, only Jehovah is the God of the chosen people of Israel, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, the God of Moses, and the God of all the people of Israel. And so in the current age, all the Israelites apart from the tribe of Judah worship Jehovah. They make sacrifices to Him on the altar, and serve Him wearing priests’ robes in the temple. What they hope for is the reappearance of Jehovah. Only Jesus is the Redeemer of mankind. He is the sin offering that redeemed mankind from sin. Which is to say, the name of Jesus came from the Age of Grace, and existed because of the work of redemption in the Age of Grace. The name of Jesus existed to allow the people of the Age of Grace to be reborn and saved, and is a particular name for the redemption of the whole of mankind. And so the name Jesus represents the work of redemption, and denotes the Age of Grace. The name Jehovah is a particular name for the people of Israel who lived under the law. In each age and each stage of work, My name is not baseless, but holds representative significance: Each name represents one age. ‘Jehovah’ represents the Age of Law, and is the honorific for the God worshiped by the people of Israel. ‘Jesus’ represents the Age of Grace, and is the name of the God of all those who were redeemed during the Age of Grace. If man still longs for the arrival of Jesus the Savior during the last days, and still expects Him to arrive in the image He bore in Judea, then the entire six-thousand-year management plan would stop in the Age of Redemption, and would be incapable of progressing any further. The last days, furthermore, would never arrive, and the age would never be brought to an end. That is because ‘Jesus the Savior’ is only for the redemption and salvation of mankind. I took the name of Jesus for the sake of all the sinners in the Age of Grace, and it is not the name by which I shall bring the whole of mankind to an end” (“The Savior Has Already Returned Upon a ‘White Cloud’” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).

Q&A About God’s Work of Judgment in the Last Days-Question 9

Question 9: We accept God’s work of the last days, but how do we experience God’s judgment and chastisement so that we can receive the truth and life, get rid of our sinful nature, and achieve salvation to enter the kingdom of heaven?
Answer: How to experience God’s judgment and chastisement to receive the truth and life, and get rid of our sinful nature to achieve salvation and enter the kingdom of heaven. This question you have raised is very important, because this relates to the major issues of man’s ending and destination. To seek this aspect of the truth, we should first read a few passages of Almighty God’s word:
True faith in God means experiencing the words and work of God based on a belief that God holds sovereignty over all things. So you shall be freed of your corrupt disposition, shall fulfill the desire of God, and shall come to know God. Only through such a journey can you be said to believe in God” (Preface to The Word Appears in the Flesh).

Question 8: How does God Perform His Judgment Work in the Last Days?

AnswerEveryone who currently seeks and investigates the true way wants to understand how Almighty God performs His judgment work of the last days. Almighty God has expressed a lot of words in regard to this aspect of the truth. Let’s read a few passages of Almighty God’s word, “Of course, when God becomes flesh this time, His work is to express His disposition, primarily through chastisement and judgment. Using this as the foundation, He brings more truth to man, shows more ways of practice, and so achieves His objective of conquering man and saving man from his corrupt disposition. This is what lies behind the work of God in the Age of Kingdom” (Preface to The Word Appears in the Flesh).
In the last days, Christ uses a variety of truths to teach man, reveal the essence of man, and dissect his words and deeds. These words comprise various truths, such as man’s duty, how man should obey God, how man should be loyal to God, how man ought to live out the normal humanity, as well as the wisdom and disposition of God, and so on. These words are all focused on the essence of man and his corrupt disposition. In particular, those words that reveal how man spurns God are spoken in regard to how man is an embodiment of Satan and an enemy force against God. When God does the work of judgment, He does not simply make clear the nature of man with just a few words, but carries out revelation, dealing, and pruning over the long term. Such manner of revelation, dealing, and pruning cannot be substituted with ordinary words but with the truth that man does not possess at all. Only such manner of work is deemed judgment; only through such judgment can man be persuaded, be thoroughly convinced into submission to God, and gain true knowledge of God. What the work of judgment brings about is man’s understanding of the true face of God and the truth about his rebelliousness. The work of judgment allows man to gain much understanding of the will of God, of the purpose of God’s work, and of the mysteries that could not be understood by man. It also allows man to recognize and know his corrupt substance and the roots of his corruption, as well as to discover the ugliness of man. These effects are all brought about by the work of judgment, for the substance of such work is actually the work of opening up the truth, way, and life of God to all those who have faith in Him. This work is the work of judgment done by God” (“Christ Does the Work of Judgment With the Truth” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).
The work done by God during this age is chiefly the provision of the words for the life of man, the disclosure of the substance of the nature of man and the corrupt disposition of man, the elimination of religious conceptions, feudal thinking, outdated thinking, as well as the knowledge and culture of man. This must all be laid bare and cleansed away through the words of God. In the last days, God uses words, and not signs and wonders, to make man perfect. He uses His words to expose man, to judge man, to chastise man, and to make man perfect, so that in the words of God, man comes to see the wisdom and loveliness of God, and comes to understand the disposition of God, so that through the words of God, man beholds the deeds of God” (“Knowing God’s Work Today” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).
God has many means of making man perfect. He employs all manner of environments to deal with the corrupt disposition of man, and uses various things to lay man bare; in one regard He deals with man, in another He lays man bare, and in another He reveals man, digging out and revealing the ‘mysteries’ in the depths of man’s heart, and showing man his nature by revealing many of his states. God makes man perfect through many methods—through revelation, dealing, refinement, and chastisement—so that man may know that God is real” (“Only Those Who Focus on Practice Can Be Made Perfect” in The Word Appears in the Flesh).
When God works to judge and cleanse corrupt mankind in the last days, He uses many aspects of truths to judge and expose man’s satanic nature that disobeys and resists God, and show man God’s holy and righteous disposition tolerating no offense. Through the judgment of God’s word, man is able to clearly see the truth of their deep corruption by Satan, and really get to know God’s holy essence and His righteous disposition intolerant of offense, having reverence for God. They thus escape the bondage and control of sin, and achieve cleanness and God’s salvation. When we read Almighty God’s word, we can feel that God is judging and exposing us face-to-face, and can all feel that God’s word, like a double-edged sword, judges and exposes our disobedient and God-resisting satanic nature. We see clearly the truth that we’ve been deeply corrupted by Satan, that our nature is arrogant, deceitful, selfish and despicable. Although we believe in God we cannot let God be exalted, and we don’t have a heart that fears God. We often lie and deceive God, deceive other people. We believe in God but worship and follow man. Once we have status, we even show off ourselves and build ourselves up, so that people will listen to and obey us. We can even split from God and confront Him, setting up independent kingdoms. When we encounter natural or man-made disasters, we even complain about God and resist God. When God’s new work doesn’t match our notions, we will even act like the Jewish Pharisees back then, making conclusions about God and judging Him as we please. If we expend a little, do some work or suffer a little for God, we will act all self-important and flaunt our seniority, demanding grace and blessings from God. As soon as our desires are not satisfied, we will act negative and slow down or quit our work, etc. We can see that our corruption by Satan runs too deep! Does our living out have any likeness of man? We are essentially the embodiment of Satan! Facing the truth of our corruption by Satan, we are all deeply ashamed and extremely remorseful, and we have appreciated that God’s holiness cannot be defiled and that His righteous disposition cannot be offended. We cannot help but fall down before God, regretting our evil ways, despising our satanic nature, and repenting to God. We are willing to accept God’s judgment and chastisement, perform our duty as created creatures, and obey everything God has orchestrated and arranged. This is the result of the judgment of God’s word on His chosen people!
We all know after experiencing God’s judgment and chastisement that God not only uses His word to judge and expose us, but, also targeting our actual situations, sets up various environments, people and things to test and reveal us, concretely prunes, deals with us, and disciplines us. Through actually experiencing God’s judgment and chastisement, dealing and pruning, we see that our nature is too arrogant, too obstinate. If we don’t receive such judgment and chastisement, our disposition would not be able to achieve change. For instance, sometimes we don’t practice the truth while fulfilling our duty. Through our arrogant nature we do whatever we please, exalt ourselves, and build up ourselves to impress people, making our spirits dark inside and unable to sense God’s presence, and our hearts hurt and refined. At this time, God’s word will reproach us inside. Sometimes God will set up people and things to deal with and prune us, so that we will return before God to reflect and know ourselves, and unconsciously recognize our arrogant ambitions of wanting to control and possess people. When we see our own nature is that of the archangel, our hearts cannot help but tremble in fear. We feel that God’s disposition is unoffendable, and fall down before God to pray and repent to Him. At this moment, God’s words will comfort us, encourage us, and make us understand all the pain and effort of God’s salvation of mankind, so we will not be passive and weak, have confidence to pursue the truth, and seek dispositional change. After experiencing God’s actual dealing and pruning, discipline and chastening many times, our arrogant disposition achieves change, we become much more low-key in fulfilling our duty and not as insolent as before, and can take the initiative to open up and recognize our own corruption, consciously exalt God, bear witness to God, and feel that living like this puts our heart at ease and is enjoyable. God’s salvation work really is too practical! It is through actually experiencing such judgment and chastisement from God that we now have real knowledge of God’s righteous disposition, and know what kind of person God loves and what kind of person God despises, what kind of person he would save and what kind of person he would eliminate, what kind of person he would bless and what kind of person he would curse, and have also gotten to know that God indeed inspects everything and dominates all. God is right beside us, concretely guiding us, saving us, making us appreciate that the truth expressed by God is judgment, chastisement, inspection, and cleansing to corrupt mankind. With fear of God in our hearts and changes to our corrupt disposition, we can seek the truth when we run into things, practice the truth, and obey God, gradually living out the likeness of a real man. The change we have been able to achieve as of today is completely the result of experiencing God’s judgment work of the last days. It is God’s immense love and salvation for us.

Q&A About God’s Work of Judgment in the Last Days-Question 7

Question 7: Many brothers and sisters all think that our belief in the Lord Jesus means our sins have already been forgiven, and that we’ve enjoyed so much of the Lord’s grace and all experienced the Lord’s compassion and mercy. The Lord Jesus already does not see us as sinners, so we should be able to be brought directly into the kingdom of heaven. Then why did the Lord not bring us into the kingdom of heaven when He came, but still has to perform His work of judgment in the last days? Is God’s judgment of the last days to cleanse and save mankind or to condemn and destroy?

Q&A About God’s Work of Judgment in the Last Days-Question 4

Question 4: You said that the most prophesied thing in the Bible is God’s judgment work in the last days. There are at least 200 places in the Bible mentioning that God will come to carry out His judgment. This is completely true. But what you witnessed is God coming into the flesh to do His judgment work in the last days. This is different to what we accept. We believe the Lord in the last days will appear to mankind and work in the form of Jesus’ spiritual body following the resurrection. This is also the view of the majority in religious circles.
AnswerIt is good to see that you have affirmed that the Lord’s return is to judge and cleanse people. It’s just that you’re still unclear on how did the Lord return and the method of His arrival. The majority of believers think that the Lord’s reappearance before mankind will be through the spiritual body of Jesus that rose to heaven after the resurrection, and that the Lord would not possibly be incarnated into the Son of man again. Then in what method does the returned Lord appear before mankind to carry out His judgment? As a spiritual body or God in the flesh? This has become a question of utmost concern to believers of God. Our testimony of God coming into the flesh in the last days to do His judgment work is something that has a clear prophecy in the Bible. The Lord Jesus said, “For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son” (John 5:22). “And has given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man” (John 5:27). The Lord Jesus directly prophesied that God will become flesh as the Son of man to personally carry out His judgment in the last days. All references to “Son” or “Son of man” are certainly references to Christ in the flesh. For instance, Jesus in the flesh was the Son of man: born to a human being, with a normal humanity and adopting an ordinary and normal person’s image to live among people. That’s why He’s called the Son of man, Christ. If He were a Spirit, He cannot be called the “Son of man.” Just as Jehovah God is a Spirit, so He cannot be called the “Son of man.” The spiritual body of the Lord Jesus after the resurrection is not the body of God incarnate, so He cannot be called the Son of man either. Anyone that has man’s image but is a spiritual body cannot be called the Son of man. Just as the Lord Jesus has prophesied, “For as the lightning, that lightens out of the one part under heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation” (Luke 17:24-25). This is even more proof that the Lord’s return is through incarnation in the flesh as the Son of man. If it were through the spiritual body of the resurrected Lord, then He wouldn’t have to endure much suffering, and He certainly wouldn’t be rejected of this generation. A spiritual body is of course supernatural. Not only will He be able to perform miracles, anything He says will also immediately come true. If it’s like this, then mankind will surely follow Him. Believers, non-believers, even the devil Satan would follow. If that were the case, then how could the Lord’s return be rejected of this generation? Also, if it were a spiritual body that came to rapture the saints, then all believers would be even more unlikely to reject God. Is that not the truth? So in accordance with the Lord Jesus’ prophecy, we can be absolutely certain that the Lord Jesus must return in the flesh as the Son of Man to utter His voice and do the judgment work of the last days. It cannot possibly be the spiritual body of the resurrected Jesus—this is certainly undeniable.

In the last days God is incarnated as the Son of Man to do His judgment work, just like when the Lord Jesus came to earth to spread the gospel of the kingdom of heaven. Mankind saw the Lord Jesus as an ordinary Son of man, but His words and work had authority, power, and made people convinced. We can tell from the Lord Jesus’ words and work that everything expressed by the Lord Jesus is the truth, allowing everyone to be utterly convinced. Naturally, people would believe that the Lord Jesus was certainly sent by God, and that He was God Himself who did God’s work. Similarly, when the incarnate Almighty God of the last days appears to do His work, many people hear God’s voice, and can all see the truth manifested like light in the realm of man. It allows everyone to see the incarnate Son of man can express the truth and judge and cleanse corrupt mankind. And it allows people to see from the truth expressed by the incarnate Son of man God’s righteous disposition, so people can revere and obey God in their hearts, and be completely saved and gained by God. Almighty God speaks words and does His work of judgment beginning at the house of God, cleansing and saving all those who have come before God’s throne, and making a group of overcomers before the disaster. Now, the words of Almighty God and the overcoming testimonies of God’s chosen people about experiencing His judgment, cleansing and perfection have already been made public on the Internet, facing the entire world and openly testifying that Almighty God is the return of the Lord Jesus, that Almighty God is the appearance of the one true God who judges and saves mankind. Just as Almighty God says, “I will watch over the whole earth, and, appearing in the East of the world with righteousness, majesty, wrath, and chastisement, I will reveal Myself to the myriad hosts of humanity!” (“The Twenty Sixth Utterance” of God’s Utterances to the Entire Universe in The Word Appears in the Flesh).

Competing in This Way, I Benefit Tremendously (Audio Essay)

By Ma Xin, China
Since my husband was not engaged in honest work, frequently drank alcohol and showed no concern for family matters, I would often sink into bitterness and pain. At a time when I did not have the strength to struggle on, a relative delivered Almighty God’s kingdom gospel to me. Through reading God’s word, I understood: God expresses the truth and does the judgment work of the last days in order to save the human race from the hands of Satan. He instructs man to understand, obey and return to Him so that he can receive His protection and care. As a result, I gladly accepted the work of Almighty God of the last days and quickly started my church life. However, right as I found something I could depend my life upon and felt a sense of joy and cheer, Satan’s temptations pounced on me like a wild beast rushed after its prey and a spiritual war erupted …

One day, my daughter came home from school and said to me, “Mom, today, I was helping my teacher bring some things upstairs when my hand accidentally banged into the railing. It hurts a lot.” I anxiously looked at my daughter’s hand. It was not red and it was not bruised. There was just a small cut at the base of her thumb. I comforted my daughter and said, “Don’t worry, after two days, it will be better.” I thought, “I believe in Almighty God. With God’s protection and care, my child will be fine for sure.” However, after ten days, the bruise on my daughter’s thumb and half her palm became more serious. After two months, her thumb and half her palm became black and purple. Her thumb was now bigger than her big toe. This time, I became very worried.

What Does It Mean to Fear God? 4 Points Help You Know It

Speaking of fearing God, all brothers and sisters in the Lord are familiar with it. It’s God’s requirement for us and also the criteria for...
